Know how every barge sits — from the dock, and from your phone.
BargeDraft reads freeboard and draft from radar sensors on the barge, shows it on the tower at the dock, and brings the same numbers to the cloud for your whole fleet.

Float watch
Battery-powered radar readers mount on the barge with magnets and measure freeboard — the distance from deck to water. The DBR tower on the dock shows it per reader and as a mean, to a tenth of an inch. BargeDraft shows the same digits, for every barge, wherever you are.
A barge taking on water loses freeboard slowly and silently. The alarm reaching a phone is the product.
- Two to four readers per barge, set at the tower.
- Freeboard per reader and mean, on every report.
- Phone and email alerts for rising draft and silent readers — coming with the pilot.
Loading
ComingThree readers — port stern, starboard stern and bow — give the spout crew live draft, trim and list, so a barge loads evenly and stops at target.
Live draft and trim are shown today for SDR-equipped barges. Load sessions, target progress and load reports are in development.
Sensors to phone
- Radar readers on the barge measure the distance to the water and radio it to the dock.
- The DBR or SDR tower on the dock shows freeboard on its screen and forwards every reading.
- The cloud stores each reading, works out draft, trim and list, and keeps a live picture of every barge.
- Your fleet and barge pages show that picture the moment it changes, on any phone or desktop.
